Review of The Masque of the Red Death (1964) by Emile H — 17 Feb 2018
One of the later Corman adaptations of a Poe tale. And this one doesn't fuck around. I watched The Raven, which was another Corman - Poe movie released one year earlier, which I loved because it was very entertaining and it had a certain tongue-and-cheek unintentional humor.
But this one is a much freakier, serious, gastly and violent tone, but unfortunately it doesn'tsn't have the same entertainment value that The Raven had. But I praise the colorful sets and another ghoulish and devilish act by Vincent Prince.
It's another good movie by Roger Corman, and it's worth a look for the fans !!
