Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Maria G — 30 Jan 2010
The opening scene with Anthony Hopkins playing the original Zorro in all the athleticism and heroics of Douglas Fairbanks is worth the price of admission and yet this wonderful film gives the audience so much more from the story of the pupil becoming the master to the tremendous stunts and sword play.
..and let us not forget the cat and mouse game between Banderas and the very lovely Zeta-Jones. Also worth noting the film is directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale).
