A so-so film. It should've been called "Zorro Begins" or "Zorro: Origins" or something. It's just because we didn't see Alejandro as a fully trained Zorro until, I think, the 90th minute. So the title was deceiving. It just started too slow. I mean, we didn't see Catherine's character (who is a major char.) until, like, the 30-40th minute.
Monterero was a weak villain. I prefer ruthless ones like the blonde one, but he also wasn't a likable villain cos he was undeveloped. I think he should've been the main villain.
I loved the music in this, btw.
