Review of The Mask of Zorro (1998) by Dylan D — 08 Aug 2013
Some critics and audiences alike despise and loath this movie purely it's cliché storyline, but I beg to differ. Mask of Zorro is excellent fun right from the start, throwing the audience straight into brilliantly choreographed sword fights and humours dialogue.
Anthony Hopkins makes a exquisite Zorro in the films prologue, and when the time comes for Antonio Banderas to don the infamous mask of Zorro he more than lives up to Hopkin's performance. Offering the audience a charming and humours performance.
Another very notable factor of this movie is the stunts, the horse stunts are very well executed and the finale is more than satisfying.
