Review of The Mask (1994) by Jacob A — 22 May 2012
Definatly a favorite for me.
There's something about Jim Carrey in a Banana yellow Zoot suit and green face that seems extremely appleaing. Esepcially when he is backed up with all the wild zaniness he can offer. It's like as if this is Jim Carrey's natural habitat to release himself.
The swing/jazz atmosphere in this movie already has me under it's spell, I often find myself trying to mimic the Mask's unorthodox suaveness. Cameron Diaz was actually my childhood crush because of this movie. But as I say again, it's the swing that gravitates me to this film.
