Review of The Marine (2006) by Zack S — 21 Aug 2011

Honestly, I wasn't really blown away with The Marine. I liked it better when it was called 12 Rounds. I don't mind a good "shut-off-your-brain" movie, but the script really got annoying with the silly dialogue.

I did like the action though. Not ground-breaking, but still fun to watch. The cast was decent, but could have been better. I did think Robert Patrick was good here. He steals the show as the main antagonist.

Overall though, the performances are fairly cheesy and while it does deliver on the action, there's really nothing else impressive about it.
