Perhaps one of the greatest scripts ever written. It was remade but changed way too much. See this version, although in black and white, the performances will literally blow you away. Frank Sinatra plays a soldier who returns from Korea with nightmares about his senior officer played by actor Lawrence Harvey.
Are these nightmares just that, or a clue to a much more devious plot involving the potential assassination of the upcoming presidential candidate. Look for a chilling performance by Angela Lansbury as the over-bearing, stop at nothing, mother of Lawrence Harvey.
Another perfect film.
