Review of The Manchurian Candidate (1962) by Daryl R — 21 Mar 2010
A tense, engaging thriller of a movie with a great cast, a terrific karate fight with Frank Sinatra--believe it or not--and one of the best performances by Lawrence Harvey that I have witnessed. Angela Lansbury is at the top of her game as a ruthless, ambitious politician who would sacrifice her own son to achieve her aims.
Never should have been a re-make.
