Review of The Manchurian Candidate (1962) by Michael C — 29 Jan 2017
Unsettling film even to this day, especially because the conclusion echoes the Kennedy assassination a year before it occurred, but still an amazing film. Frankenheimer clearly knows how to use a camera, and tries all types of interesting tricks here, and Sinatra and Harvey have great chemistry together.
And Angela Lansbury doesn't have a shade of her Murder She Wrote character of later years as Raymond's corrupt, ambitious, and insanely evil mother.
