Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by Jeremy B — 14 Dec 2008
A crappy title song, a lot of silly, campy action scenes (including a car flip in Taiwan that seems to have been scored by a slide-whistle), a performance from Ekland so incompetent and irritating that even her stunning beauty can't save her, the return of the unspeakable sheriff J.
W. Pepper, gratuitous midget baiting every time Villechaize appears on screen and a lot of tedium. Admittedly, the film does have a tense and suspenseful conclusion at Scaramanga's fortress, but it's all too little, too late.
