Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Forrest K — 02 Jun 2010
Quite possibly the Coen's most unexpected film. A wonderfully nuanced performance from Billy Bob Thornton gives this noirish contemplation of the sum of a life a sort of surreal intimacy. Tony Shalhoub is also great as a manically self-absorbed lawyer.
Definitely the sort of film that begs multiple viewings.
