Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Amar K — 26 Jul 2010
An absolutely brilliant deconstruction and reconstruction of noir, combined with the philosophy of Camus, then combined with Roger Deakins both overplaying (in relation to the character and the story) and underplaying (in relation to modern techniques) the cinematography.
This is up there with the Coen's best.
