Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Todd E — 15 Jun 2010
The Who Wasn't There is a movie that just works. Billy Bob Thornton does an extraordinary job playing a man who doesn't speak much. You would have to think that would be a tough job for an actor -- all those awkward conversations -- definitely believable.
This film also makes the audience think. Can we tell whether Ed Crane is content with his life? He definitely does not express happiness or sadness about the situations he finds himself in. The movie definitely shows how creative the Coens are.
I got to watch this again to try to get in the head of Ed Crane.
