This is a great film, western or not! Lee marvin is outstanding! John Wayne is at his best as John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart is excellent in between the two. Vera Miles rises to the occation and puts in a great performance.
I should not overlook Andy Devine and Edmund O'Brian of this all star cast in what I consider one of John Fords best films.
