Review of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) by X X — 29 May 2012
Old style Western that is guilty of delivering a fair few cliches, but which also has some great characters, a wonderful cast (including James Stewart at his most charming and earnest, and John Wayne at his most laid back yet cynical) and something to say - about politics, racism, education, and whether violence or law is the best solution.
Great stuff.
