Review of The Man Who Laughs (1928) by Lenard W — 15 Aug 2009
An almost forgotten classic. While silent except for the score, I was more emotionally invested in this romance and historic intrigue than I was in modern-day tales with similar subject matter. The connecting thread between Phantom of the Opera (starred Mary Philbin and Cesare Gravina) and Freaks (stars Olga Baclanova).
