Frustrating at times because Stewart's ignorant doctor character doesn't really deserve our sympathy and after what should have been another classic Hitchcock finale (at the Royal Albert Hall), we are subjected to another 20 minutes of tedious wrap up.
Where this film is good, is with a few suspenseful Hitchcock set pieces (the brilliant bricklined pathways in London to name one) and Doris Day's surprising moments of genuine acting. Where it is bad is with dreadful comedy and the drawn out (and unnecessary) '4th act'.
