Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) by Eric K — 21 Oct 2009
Though not my favorite Hitchcock film (Vertigo would hold that title), this was very entertaining nonetheless. :) The scene in the theater was quite suspense-filled. James Stewart always seems to fit into Hitchcock roles perfectly.
I can't say I'm a huge Doris Day fan, but she performs her role well enough to keep the film from getting dragged down too badly. I know she's praised for her role in this film, but I really think she over-acted quite a bit.
So sue me. I can't say that I've seen the original (30's) version yet, though it's on my "to do" list. Anyway, the movie is worth a watch.
