Review of The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) by Alexandra P — 01 Mar 2010
Much better than the original, this story is suspenseful and masterfully done. Not quite as wildly on-edge as some of Hitchcock's, but I almost like it better that way--you can imagine yourself there, instead of saying "This is crazy.
" There were a couple of things that might not have been entirely realistic, but overall it was great. This movie encompasses the love of family, the difficult questions of "What if," and the heroism of everyday people.
It was a basically clean movie, too, with only one frantic misuse of the Lord's name. ...Oh, and you get a little bit of a free concert in there, too.
