Review of The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) by Curtis L — 19 Apr 2008
David Bowie plays an alien! This film probably shouldn't work, but it does. You wouldn't know that he'd never acted in a film before, and he's definitely better than Jagger was in Performance and Garfunkel was in Bad Timing.
The film has been quite prescient on some topics and has aged well, it's a pity a remake is in production because this is yet another perfectly good film that doesn't need one.
