Review of The Man in the Iron Mask (1998) by Katie J — 31 Aug 2009
One of Alexander Dumas greatest novels about the 3 Musketeers years later. I love the relationships between the characters betrayed by the actors from Leonardo Dicaprio's shapeshifting personality in the twin role of the film, Gabriel Byrne's devoted and quiet D'artangan, Jermey Irons spirited and holy Aramis, John Malkovich's easy tempered and father loving Athos and Gerad Deperdieu's funny bored and rude Porthos.
The relationships are great, the script isn't too bad. However its until the very end you see the uplifitng presence of the movie. This is an excellent film.
