Review of The Man from Snowy River (1982) by Dillon H — 05 Feb 2008
Although it takes place on the Australian frontier, it is one of the best "Westerns". It doesn't live up to Sergio Leon's Westerns but it is a good film with some great acting from Kirk Douglas.
The imagery is beautiful and the narrative is compelling. The reason why it so great in my opinion is because it was one of my favorite childhood films. It holds a very special place for me.
