Review of The Man from Planet X (1951) by Jeffrey C — 21 Sep 2013
A spaceship from the fast approaching Planet X (Nibiru?) lands in the Scottish Moors near a space observatory. The alien inside uses mind control to turn his host humans into brain dead zombies after he feels slighted by a human scientist's curiosity.
Released before the big name sci-fi flicks which started the craze during this era (e.g., Invaders from Mars, The War of the Worlds, When Worlds Collide, The Thing from Another World ), this B movie is creative, well acted, and decently directed.
The limited budget keeps it from attaining the heights of its potential, but is still worth a watch.
