Review of The Man from Nowhere (2010) by Philip R — 17 Aug 2011
Although its got some relatively intense action scenes and for the most part decent acting, it falls short in the story department. Compared to other Korean films, especially revenge stories, this story just seems so cliche and tired.
Its essentially a remake of "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington. The story is very predictable and the ending seems very "Americanized", which is incredibly disappointing coming from a Korean film where that virtually NEVER happens.
It just could have been so much more.
