Review of The Man from Nowhere (2010) by Hannah M — 19 Sep 2011
I have a soft spot for Won Bin. He was in the first Korean tv show I ever watched and he has really blossomed as an actor.
It follows the lines of Man on Fire. It has plenty of cliches, but it is action-packed and interesting to say the least. The problem with Korean television and films is often they make the "bad guys" a bit over the top and what is supposed to be a frightening criminal turns laughable.
In this film it was toned down which made the film as a whole much more watchable then some I have seen. And one of the cronies (I forget his name) is actually great.
