Right off the bat, you cant help but notice the comparisons to "Leon The Professional." Little girl befriends quiet unsuspecting next door neighbor who turns out to be the quiet yet ultimate killing machine. But that just about were that comparison ends and the comparison with "Taken" begins. What do both these film have in common? They were written and or directed by Luc Besson. The French writer and director known for his visual and stylish action revenge thrillers. The Bin Won, who we remember as the mentally challenged Yoon Do-joon in Bong Joon-ho's masterpiece thriller "Madeo" (Mother). The transformation from his character in "Madeo" to his character in "The Man From Nowhere".
