Review of The Man from Nowhere (2010) by Petros T — 28 Nov 2017
I have always been a fan of Korean directing. The Man From Nowhere is a simplistic story line with a twist. Combining a roller coaster thrill ride of great choreography and drama. Probably one of the best showcase of CQC (close quarter combat) and Arnis (Filipino martial arts).
The Director: Jeong-beom Lee, beautifully crafted each scene with quick cut scenes and raw camera angles that made you feel part of the story. Bin Won or Won Bin who played Cha Tae-sik (The main hero/character) was so brilliant that you cant help but wonder about his past.
His calm demeanor throughout the movie left a feeling of anxsiousness waiting for his special forces moves to break out. A great depiction of a ex special agent running from his past only to have it find him and test his every move.
