I can appreciate what it's doing but some of the dialogue is abhorrent, the soundtrack is cheesy at best and the lines are delivered with capital A acting as if it were a play and not a film.
Plus it's filmed on these horribly noisy TV cameras and the whole thing looks like it's coated in vaseline.
It's so highly rated everywhere else, perhaps because of its atheistic viewpoint, but that doesn't excuse it for being so unsubtle and on the nose.
