Review of The Man from Earth (2007) by Scott J — 07 Nov 2011
This film is more like a play than a motion picture. It takes place essentially in one room and is the dialogue between learned professors from different disciplines about an unusual prospect put forth by their departing collegue.
He maintains he is 14,000 years old and he must move on. At some times the dialogue is a bit unbelievable but the film had me watching it several times. Brilliant writing and some may be offended if the notions put forth challenge your religious values.
Very engaging but not much on cinematic dazzlement.
