Review of The Man from Earth (2007) by Ryan W — 12 Jul 2011
It's been a while since I've watched this movie. But when I did watch it, you can definitely tell how SMALL budget this film had. The acting isn't perfect but some actors stand out over others and actually get a lot better during the course of the film.
Essentially it's about a man who's moving away and leaving his friends behind to "Start over" per say. He is quite inconspicuous with where he's going. His friends continually pry him until he comes clean.
He goes on to claim that he is actually an immortal among men who has been alive since the stone age and during the course of the film he tries to convince his friends, of all makes and beliefs, that he IS who he says he is.
The whole film takes place in one setting but it works for what it delivers. This is not a film for the devout Christian, so unless you are very OPEN to the ideas presented from this film you may be offended.
But for people like me, non-believers, I instantly fell in love. Check your Netflix Instant Stream to find this great film.
