Muddled cinematography and half-decent performances lessen the overall impact that "The Man from Earth" has, but if you're like me and can overlook budget restraints, it's an interesting feat.
Jerome Bixby's screenplay is obviously the film's strongest element, keeping us attentive and interested in areas where the direction is lackluster. There are a few standouts amongst the cast, but for the most part, they're all two-dimensional and unconvincing.
No, "The Man from Earth" isn't anything mesmerizing or incredible, but it's consistently entertaining and short, which makes for an easy watch.
