Review of The Man from Earth (2007) by Matt W — 03 Feb 2010
Despite the made-for-tv-movie budget, this is really good. Better than K-Pax in terms of script and prose. This would work well in theatre as a one scene play. Nothing beats a playful philosophical deconstruction of religion.
:) "Candyman" and "Dr Phlox" again prove they are more than bit-part Sci-fi actors as well... It's a pity ideas like this or K-Pax don't leave you with a Total Recall, Inception or 12 Monkeys type choice for your own interpretation on the truth or fiction for the whole story though.
They just make a too obvious turn at the end.
