Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Alexander F — 22 Jun 2010
Brilliant film. A classic of the '40s and one of Huston's greatest works in both direction and screenplay. Bogart is stellar as Sam "Bogart" Spade in the classic film noir that really is the stuff that dreams are made of.
Pay special attention to the camerawork; this is a masterclass. Iconic and perfect.
