Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Liz D — 21 Oct 2008

I was thoroughly disappointed that AFI had this on their top 100 movies of all time. I think it's horribly acted with a story that should be compelling, but falls flat after the first few quick cuts of shotty film editing.

I couldn't believe that anyone had more motive in this movie to find the infamous "falcon" than what they were imagining the script wanted from them. There was no heart in it, just empty words.

Sorry Mr. Bogart.
