Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Orlando N — 04 Oct 2009
Excellent.Definitely the first, if not one of the best noir type films of the olden days of Hollywood. The plot is so wrapped in mystery, that no one should ask for a refund after seeing this movie. This film was what put Bogart on the map, and rightfully so.
His performance in this film is definitely vintage Bogart, and vintage Hollywood.A classic is most certainly is.
