Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Simeon D — 11 Aug 2010
Classic noir mystery (and the best of the genre) that's short, fun, and resembles a simpler Chinatown. Exceptional performances from Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre (who is much skinnier than his role in 20000 Leagues Under the Sea which I saw a week earlier), and Sydney Greenstreet.
Flawless masterpiece via John Huston. 100/100.
