Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Bill B — 28 Jan 2012
This film has during the past couple of years risen to my personal Number One slot. The dialog, cast and storyline blend perfectly. If I ever wanted to hire a private eye, Bogart's "Sam Spade" would be the one.
Greenstreet and Lorre are classic 'partners in crime'. Elijah Cook (Jr.) plays the part of Wilmer excellently. The 'thrill of the chase' rises up every time I watch this.
