Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Ryan V — 28 Feb 2012
One of Bogart's best performances and one of the greatest (if not the single greatest) noir films. A perfect cast is in place, also including Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, and Mary Astor. It's got so many great quotes and one-liners.
Oh, and there's Sydney Greenstreet's hapless henchman Wilmer. Poor, poor Wilmer. Watching Bogey make a fool of him time and time again is reason enough to watch this classic.
