Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Stephen E — 28 Mar 2012
"The Maltese Falcon" is the grandfather of film noir, and for good reason, too. The script is predictable but twisty at the same time and Huston's direction is admirably stylish. There are some fine performances as well, but the best comes from Bogart as Sam Spade.
