Review of The Maltese Falcon (1941) by Mark D — 10 Jan 2013
This movie (and not Casablanca) is Bogart's best work, I think. It's the only movie I've ever seen that I wished was a lot longer than it was. From beginning to end, it is a powerful and compelling story that is neatly and smartly brought to the screen.
