This film had a great cast and it looked great, but it really left me cold to it for the most part.

I found it to be kind of boring until maybe the time Bogart finds Wilmer in the hotel and then up until the final sequence.

I think what bothered me most is that some of the characters just tell the lies the whole time when, if they really wanted help, would be more honest...but then the movie would've been ten minutes long. But the way it goes down in the end, with people taking ten minutes and telling every single detail of their evil plots was a bit much. It was just off putting to hear so much exposition I guess.

I dig really enjoy Bogart here. How he always remains cool no matter what they situation and his whole persona really helped me get through the slower parts.

I had higher hopes for this one, and as my first real film in the Film Noir genre, it was a let down.
