Review of The Major and the Minor (1942) by Timothy M — 25 Aug 2010
Billy Wilder had an unfair advantage: he was a genuine genius. This is a terrific little comedy/romance - there are laughs throughout, and the relationship is believable. It's predictable, and it even foreshadows Some Like it Hot to a degree, but it's great fun regardless.
Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland are just about perfect. Loved the ending, too.
