Review of The Magnificent Seven Ride! (1972) by Senor C — 25 Feb 2010
What started off as a good Lee Van Cleef vehicle as a merciless gun slinger turned marshall who's wife is kidnapped, raped & killed by some bank robbers turns into a tiresome Magnificent 7 entry rather sloppily thrown together so it can be a cash in for those who want to hear the theme song once again.
Now I haven't seen any of the other Magnificent 7 movies yet but this one seems to be a weak entry; too bad because it started off pretty good but mostly due to Lee Van Cleef. Fans of his should check it out; those fans of the original probably not.
