Review of The Magnificent Seven (2016) by J F — 07 Oct 2017
After a woman's ridiculously hot husband is killed by evil white capitalist miners, she makes a diverse hire of men to get justice. A black guy, an Asian, a Mexican, an Indian, a fat white guy, an anorexic white guy and an average white guy vow to clean up the town, but she insists on fighting alongside of them so Hollywood can officially check all their diversity boxes.
Good direction, some good one-liners and shoot outs. Hardly any character development so it's hard to get invested in the characters. It also started to drag about halfway through... the simple story could have easily fit into 90 minutes.
