Review of The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) by Biff M — 07 Nov 2007
Despite the butchering done to this film before its release, this is the Orson Welles film that I return to most frequently. Perhaps it's my weakness for the "what-might-have-been," or maybe it's simply that of all Welles' films, this is the one whose story most appeals to me.
If the cut footage is ever found my shouts will be heard all over the globe (no doubt mingled with quite a few others).
