Review of The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) by Garrett C — 06 May 2013
After years of trying, I have finally seen The Magnificent Ambersons. I feel like I should get my official film buff card now. Very different from Kane, and I am not wild about the plot. But everything else is so incredible it makes up for it.
The performance Agnes Moorehead gives as Aunt Fanny is a must see. She finally gets her turn in the spotlight. The lighting, sets, and cinematography were staggeringly good.
