Review of The Machinist (2004) by Marty B — 12 Jun 2011
At first The Machinist seemed to be just another confusing thriller, but towards the end we are given an explanation to every question. The storyline is told from the perspective of Trevor Reznik, a factory worker who has not slept in over a year.
Christian Bale´s acting is simply outstanding, and his devotion is amazing. You keep guessing what is real and what is not, and the way it all gets tied together towards the end really makes The Machinist one of the greatest movies I have ever seen.
