Oh, I really wanted this to be a wonderful film. Ms. Winger is one of my favorites and I think Tracy Letts is our greatest living playwright. Where WAS he when they did the first read-through? What a dull, turgid, ridiculous film.
Terrible script, unlikable people, - who needs it. I felt like I needed a shower afterwards - just to get the film's energy off me. I'm not uptight about the subject matter, but the previews made it look funny and meaningful.
Bleh. What a disappointment.
