Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Kunal S — 13 Dec 2011
Nooooooooo! Peter Jackson is one of my favorite working directors to date ...which is why this lackluster effort is so disappointing. Great performances by Saoirse Ronan and Stanley Tucci don't help to save Lovely Bones from being a complete failure.
The movie jumps from scene to scene with no real point and you care fairly little about the family the murdered 14-year old girl, Susie Salmon, leaves behind. Is the book as bad as the movie? Not from what I've heard but now I have little desire to ever read it.
