Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Rob F — 28 Jan 2017
This movie has been criticized on countless occasions. Definitely not the best, but not bad. The performance of Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) is excellent and manages to convey the feelings of Peter Jackson.
The story has a lot of power, it causes sadness, maybe too much sentimentality, but the proposal is correctly oriented, at least at first, because after the death of the girl is seen as "normal" and even evaluates the behavior of his killer as something " Part of life "or something that happened" was justifiable.
" The mysticism and metaphysics that unfolds in this film has a good development and contains an interesting description of what is between life and death. Peter Jackson's concept of paradise is too cheap and the girl's family is misconfigured, as if they all look like "extras.
" It has good visual effects, but the music and some shots are simply fateful. The romantic theme is already widely used, but in this case I do not appreciate it as a negative point, it gives the film a nice touch tender and cheesy, although if we talk about the funny scenes, we have this would be a terrible tragic comedy attempt .
